The FCA Impact-
God taught me that you can have fun and be a solid Christian at the same time. That there is more to the crucifixion and Jesus' life then what meets the eye. And i am just thankful that I was fortunate enough to be one of the few Prairie Grove students that went to this camp. I would definately recommend it to other people. -13 year old, Middle School student
I learned from our huddle time that I had been putting other things before God on the "totem pole" as our leader, Kalen, called it. I realized that He has always put me first and that I need to put Him first also. I had already accepted Him into my heart, but on the night where Joel talked about dedication, i recommitted my life to Him. That sermon REALLY moved me when he showed the clip of "The Passion" because I finally began to understand what He went through just for us. I didn't have the guts to watch much of the short clip, but what I did see and hear really touched my heart. I really liked it when at the end of that they sang the song "The Stand" because I didn't have to care about what the other people around me thought, I just thought of Jesus and closed my eyes and raised my hands to praise Him. -13 year old, Middle School student
God over the weekend worked in my life in a couple different ways. One way He did was when He showed me everything He has done for me. Everything Jesus did for me. I am so grateful to know that I am loved. To know that whatever I do Jesus will always be there for me. I won't take that for granted! I will from now on dedicate my life to Christ! After I saw the clip from the movie my life was changed. I now know what Jesus did for me. I knew he died on the cross for me, but I didn't know that he went through so much! I am so grateful for everything now than I ever have been. Thank you so much for helping go to this camp!
I have dedicated my life to Christ by changing some of the songs on my ipod. By not seeing movies that Jesus wouldn't be proud of. By being a lot kinder to my brother, and by always being a good sport in all of the activities I do. -13 year old, Middle School student At camp the second chapel God showed me idols in a different way. I mostly thought of an idol as a big golden calf or something else you set up and worship. He taught me that I need to really work on putting God first in everything that I do, and not make watching TV, going on the computer, or money an idol. The Holy Spirit really convicted me of that and I have already started to work on putting God where He belongs, at the top, NUMBER ONE. -17 year old, HS student
This week has truly changed my life. Tuesday night chapel was so emotional and amazing. Before this camp, I didnt know where I was going with life, but know I feel like i have a purpose for my life. I think it is sooooo cool that I have a personal relationship with the guy who CREATED THE WORLD!!! It is such a good feeling, it's like a inner peace. I just feel relieved now. -13 year old, Middle School student
I would read the Bible more often because I chose not to because I had to do it. Also that I would pray more prayers, do my daily devotions every day. -12 year old, Middle School student
